I’ve been dying for fall to get here, probably since the end of July, but I forgot how crazy fall weather can be. When I wake up its 65 degrees, and by 2 o’clock its 85 and sunny, which does not make it easy to get dressed in the morning. Despite how badly I want to put on a pair of riding boots, I’m milking this 80 degree weather.
Now about this skirt, when J. Crew first got this skirt in stores I had mixed feelings. I adored the summery color palette, but the gold stripes (that are much more evident in person than in these pictures) screamed ‘wear me to a holiday party.’ I obviously said ‘okay!’ because that is a proposition I very rarely turn down 🙂 Once this shimmery number made it into my closet I realized how easily this piece could transition from season to season, which made me love it even more!
