Welcome to Glitter & Gingham!
My name is Shelby Skaggs, and
this blog is my new creative outlet. I have a love for all things
fashion, food, pugs, and anything to do with the state of Kentucky. I hope to
incorporate my passion for style and all other things I love into the daily
doses here on glitter and gingham.

I have been over the moon,
and itching with anticipation about launching this blog! One of my biggest dilemmas
was what to wear in my first post. Tough decision, I know. As I hunted through
my closet all I could think about in the back of my mind was the lecture my
mother gave me when I was picking out outfits to wear in my senior cuts. “Don’t
wear anything too trendy, you don’t want to look back and ask yourself ‘What
was I thinking?’” I quickly forgot about any advice she gave me, and slapped on
printed shorts with a blouse in a trendy color. Something I’m sure to second
guess this time next year. I figured I would compromise by adding some nude
wedges. Classic enough, right?
