Pastel plaid is best served with neutrals. I love a good plaid and I love pastels, but put the two together and it is personally just too much prep for me. Regardless of the preppy feel, I was drawn to this ASOS top (maybe it was the killer sale!). Obviously I scooped it up and haven’t looked back! I love how this shirt has a little more character to it than your average plaid, yes I said character. See how one side is predominantly pink, while the other is predominantly yellow? I mean, how cool!  I knew I wanted to tone down this preppy little top, so I reached for a oldie but a goodie, this Zara skort. Okay people, the Zara skort had its 5 minutes of fame last summer season, but I am dusting mine off and bringing mine back to life! To top the outfit off I reached for my taupe laser cut bag and blush colored sandals, both of which are subtle and fun enough to compliment the top!
