In typical “basic” girl fashion, I love love love fall. Yea I like college football on Saturdays, the fall weather, Keeneland season, but what I really love is layering up and incorporating different textures into my wardrobe! Such as this silk tee with this cozy sweater!
But I am going to be honest, blogging sometimes feels like its just one big vicious cycle of keeping up with the Joneses. Like I am not quite ready for fall until I have this pair of booties, with this blouse and this plaid scarf. Quite frankly, that is tiring and my wallet couldn’t take it. So I am doing my best this season to invest in pieces that I love because I love them and because I know they will last me seasons to come.

Great post! Glad to see someone talking about some of the realities in life. I don't even have a blog and i feel some pressure to keep up with fall trends and truthfully, its the season i need to watch what i spend the most. Too bad all the best clothes come out right before you need to start Christmas shopping. Your outfits are always wonderful thanks for posting.
