Happy Thursday y’all! Today is all about lengthening those eyelashes, and I am super excited to be writing about this today! I have always, always wanted thicker, longer lashes, I mean I had fine eyelashes a few months ago, but who doesn’t want longer ones?! I know not everyone out there wants to go through the hassle just for some eyelashes, but for those who are interested in how I’ve lengthened my lashes (with and without eyelash serum) over the course of a few months then keep reading 🙂
So for those of you don’t know, I’m getting hitched in less than 3 months! Ah! I can’t even believe I’m even typing that. Our engagement has FLOWN by, but that’s a different story. Being the typical bride, I wanted to do certain things to get myself in check for the big day, i.e. clear up my skin, tone the arms, attempt to eat healthier, grow out my hair and get longer lashes while I’m at it. Of course none of those things are necessary to get married, but who doesn’t want to feel their best on their big day?! I know I do! I knew I wanted to give Latisse a go in order to lengthen my lashes, and the lovely and kind ladies at Privé Med Spa did gift me my first bottle of Latisse to try and the results far exceeded my expectations! I just purchased my second bottle because I was so happy with the results! P.s. I know this sounds like a sales pitch, but that is not at all my MO! I was always intrigued by the product and just want to share my experience with y’all!
I started using the product around the beginning of February. I wish I had before pictures to show y’all, but the memory card they were on got misplaced in our move, but what I do have for y’all are my tips and tricks (that came from the Privé ladies!) for making the most out of Latisse as well as a mascara combo that gets the job done (with or without eyelash serums).
Tip #1: Ditch the brushes that come with the Latisse. They soak up a LOT of the product, and in turn you go through your bottle quicker. That little bottle ain’t cheap, so I wanted to make the most of it.
Tip #2: Buy a tiny, tiny makeup brush that you can reuse to apply the serum. I opted for the one pictured, its e.l.f., super cheap and you can find it at Target. Just remember to clean the brush for obvious sanitary reasons.
Tip #3: Drop 1 drop of the serum into the cap of the bottle, and use that one drop for both eyes!
I did all three of these things, and applied it every single night. I felt like I noticed results within 8ish weeks, which was quicker than I expected.
My second option for lengthening your lashes comes from a tube of mascara. I stumbled upon the IT Cosmetics Super Hero mascara and I was literally shocked by the results. I’ve talked (more like raved) about the product on my snapchat (sskaggs0) on occasion, and it might just be the best mascara I’ve ever used. It lengthens your lashes like no body’s business. Obviously my eyelashes are in fact longer from the Latisse, but when I use other mascaras now the difference is obvious. Also, if you’re really wanting to make the most of what you’ve got, the Lancome CILS BOOSTER XL is an amazing primer! When layering the two products together it’s like magic!
Here is an after picture! 🙂 I don’t ever remember noticing my lashes in pictures before, so this is definitely an improvement. I hope y’all enjoyed hearing about my experience. If you all have any other tips or tricks PLEASE let me know!
xoxo!

Hey, Shelb! I had noticed your lashes were longer and fuller! Beautiful! I was interested in Latisse too! Did you notice a change in your eye color or eyelids? I’m nervous to try it because my eyes are light.
