H&M Leopard Skirt (not online) / Black Tank / Black Ankle Strap Sandals / Pink Clutch c/o Vera Bradley (old, similar) / Michael Kors Watch / David Yurman & LAGOS Watches
Happy Tuesday y’all! I feel like I haven’t posted in forever, but I after making it home from our family vacay I needed to take the holiday weekend to regroup and unwind. Which mainly means unpack, clean, do laundry, repeat, none of which are fun, but totally necessary after being away from home! But it’s back to business and a little online shopping!
Can I be honest for a minute? Blogging outfits everyday of the week can be overwhelming, overwhelming in a sense of the whole “keeping up with the Joneses”. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE blogging, but there is always a tiny little feeling like I need to be wearing the newest arrivals to share with y’all. But the real life scenario is that’s not attainable, at least for me. Plus I get a lot wear out of pieces in my closet season after season. So I am kicking it old school in today’s outfit. All of the pieces in today’s look, except the skirt (which is sadly not available online), are oldies but goodies. Basically it’s a reminder to myself that newer isn’t always better, and sometimes I just need to wear the clothes I already have 😉

Girl.. right there with you. The struggle definitely is real, and I think keeping up with blogging is going around. Seems like a lot of us having been taking some time off here lately – we’ve earned it after all!
The struggle is REAL! We sure have!!
I’m always so in love with how you style prints 🙂 This is no exception!

I completely feel you on the “keeping up with the jonses” syndrome and sometimes shopping my own closet is the perfect inspiration! Love you leopard look today!
It sure can be never ending! It sure it!! Thanks so much, Gentry!
This is so TRUE for me too! Love it! You look gorgeous as always. xo
Thanks so much, Alex!! Ughs, its the worst sometime isn’t it?! So glad I’m not alone!
xoxo!
Great H&M find! That skirt is perfect on you!
And I’m 100% with you. Blogging tends to make me constantly shop and want to spend all of my money on clothes, which is completely unnecessary, but I feel like it is at times. In reality I wear stuff from 1-3 years ago on a regular basis, and that should be okay!

Thanks so much, Jacy! Ah! I am so glad I am not alone! Absolutely!!
Shelby, I love this post! I think it’s great that bloggers show all the latest and greatest in clothing, but it’s overwhelming and leaves a constant feeling of keeping up with the Joneses! Way to keep it realistic and show old pieces. I think it’s just as important to be able to repurpose tried and true pieces with the new!
Thank you SO much, Rachel! Overwhelming is the best way to describe it! This comment has made my day!
