Happy Wednesday y’all! Today’s post is going to be a little out of the norm, as I wanted to share a little inside peek into the rewardStyle Conference I attended last weekend in Dallas, TX. You know those #rStheCon Instagram hashtags you kept seeing? Yep, those photos were from this conference. Spoiler alert: prepare for an image heavy & transparent post. If you’re not familiar or just have no clue what rewardStyle is, then I’ll give you a little back story. rewardStyle is a monetization platform that I use (along with thousands of other bloggers) on a daily basis here on G&G. What does that mean exactly? They provide us with the technology on the backend that allows us to earn money through our website & social media channels. Furthermore, they supply the product links I provide you all with. In turn, these links allow me to earn a small commission off of any purchase you might make from my link. Disclaimer: this commission comes straight from the retailer, it doesn’t effect the price you pay whatsoever! rewardStyle provides the technology behind all this. Their platform is one of the many ways I am able put my heart & soul into this corner of the internet, while turning this little labor of love into a full time gig.
Bored yet? Ha! Hang in there. rewardStyle also broke the mold with their LIKEtoKNOW.it technology. Yep, they’re the one behind those ready-to-shop Instagrams. But they didn’t stop there, they just launched their brand new LIKEtoKNOW.it app that is changing the way people shop. I don’t want to bore y’all with the details, because I am sure you’re Instagram has been spammed with info on how to use this app. However, if you ever have any questions on how LTK works, feel free to reach out & let me know your questions!
With all this being said, they host a conference every April for 200 influencers that connects the attendees with brands & other bloggers, all while providing educational opportunities & throwing a party or 3 😉
Keep on reading for more details into my #rStheCon experience!
Day 1:
The day was finally here! So much shopping prep went into this trip & it was finally here. I always get anxious the day I leave for a trip, especially if I’m travelling alone. This day was no different. I tried to plan out a chic travel outfit, but it ended up just being cozy & boring and I didn’t even snap a photo of it for you 😂 But I will say, I wore this sweater to & from Dallas and I am obsessed!
Check-in & Welcome Reception:
This year’s conference was held at the Crescent Court Hotel. Y’all this hotel was gorgeous. I hurried up to our room { I roomed with Beth from Seersucker + Saddles & Brooke from KB Styled } to drop off my luggage and quickly realized they had one king bed for three girls… Needless to say it was a tight squeeze all weekend. Once I was all checked in, I met up with Jessica from My Style Vita, Emily from Life With Emily & Kate from For the Love of Fancy for some champagne & a quick bite to eat!
Rooftop Pool Party with Sole Society:
Next up, getting ready for the pool party hosted by Sole Society. It was H-O-T this night, like enough to make you want to do a big cannon ball into the pool! It was so hot I really forgot to even get my phone out & snap any pictures of the adorable setup. Oops! It was such a fun first night to kick the weekend off right. I was able to meet so many amazing ladies that I have followed on Instagram for so long!
After party:
The after party consisted of tex mex at Mi Cocina with Jessica, Emily & Kate! When in Texas you have to have mexican food! Am I right?!

Day 2:
Breakfast & Main Stage Education:
The day kicked off with acai bowls & coffee. At this point I was just crossing my fingers I didn’t get either on my almost all white outfit. Crisis was averted y’all. I know you were concerned 😉 The rest of the morning was filled with different speakers. We learned about the state of influencer marketing, the LIKEtoKNOW.it App, what it is brands want today, tips on building your brand and more!
Lunch time! Uptown Picnic with Banana Republic:
Thanks Banana for an amazing & yummy lunch! BR rented out the Shake Shack around the corner from the hotel for this lunch. At this point, I’m starving and needed some food with substance. Can I get an amen for a burger & some fries?! Sadly, I have zero photos from this lunch. I was not on my blogger game y’all. The setup was adorable, and the food hit the spot.
Classroom Sessions:
The rest of my day was spent going to classroom sessions. These were more intimate settings where the hosts were really able to dive into particular topics. The classes I attended:: ‘LIKEtoKNOW.it: creating screenshot worthy content’, ‘SEO Essentials’ & ‘The Modern Collaboration’.
Cocktail Party Time with Bumble BFF:
Bumble hosted an amazing party Friday night (see more info on my outfit from the party below!). The weather was much cooler than the night before, thank goodness!, and the setting allowed for more mix & mingling with other bloggers!
After party:
More mexican with more blogger babes! Are you sensing a trend here?! We’re predictable if nothing else! Then it was back to the hotel for a good night’s sleep before our last big day!

Day 3:
Networking Hall:
This morning started a little later & was a little more relaxed. Brooke & I spent our morning in the networking hall. The networking all gave us the opportunity to meet so many amazing brands and introduce them to our blog!
Garden Lunch with Topshop:
Topshop did an AMAZING job decorating the courtyard in the hotel for this lunch. Everything was just beautiful and it was complete with a flower wall that was perfect for a photo op! Needless to say, there was a line of girls waiting to snap a photo in front of the wall– see above 😉 I felt so bad for Topshop though because it was unseasonably cool that day, we’re talking like 50s! They had done an incredible job with the outdoor lunch setup, and everyone sitting outside ended up freezing. It was so cold the people sitting outfit had to bundle up in blankets that they so graciously provided.
Private Brand Meetings:
After lunch I attended 3 private brand meetings. I am so grateful I go the opportunity to speak one on one with a few brands that I have loved & worn for years! This allowed me to really share what G&G is all about and learn more about what the brand is looking for in an influencer. Fingers crossed you’ll be seeing some posts featuring these brands in the months to come.
Install Room:
This was a new feature of the conference and think of it as an Apple store genius bar. The incredibly smart and tech savvy rS employees were there on hand to help you with any site tech issues you might be having. Shout out to Michael for helping me get my site in order!
LTK.it Heart Wall & photo shoot:
We had a little downtime in between the end of our meetings & that night’s party so we had to take advantage & snap a few photos around the hotel & the famous he(art) wall!
Official LIKEtoKNOW.it Launch Party at Wyly Theater:
The conference wrapped with an incredible cocktail party at the Wyly Theater! This progressive party took us to different levels throughout the theatre. We sipped champagne, socialized and let loose after a weekend of work, work, work!
After party:
Emily, Brooke, Beth & I were exhausted and starving so we headed home to enjoy pizza & some girl time in our room!
It’s safe to say that rS the con was a success! I have loved so much getting to know so many incredible women, and I am so grateful for rewardStyle. I appreciate the opportunity to grow my business and further my knowledge of this field. Most importantly, thank you to all of you who continue to support me– I appreciate it more than you will ever know!
