Happy Friday y’all! I can’t help but feel like summer is slipping away, and while Tyler & I argue about this more often than I would admit– summer is the BEST. Tyler thinks fall is the best season, but that’s neither here nor there 😉 Summer just has a more free feeling! Warm nights, patio season, pool time, etc. There are still so many things I want to do before it gets too cold, so I’m putting this post together to hold myself accountable!

1. Picnic with the pups

This is one of my favorite things to do! Tyler & I used to do it a few times a month on Sunday nights; we’d pack up the pups, grab our favorite sandwiches from Wine + Market and spend the evening at a park in town. It is so nice to disconnect, play a game or two of gin rummy and spend some quality time together.

2. Grab meals on our favorite patios!

There are very few things I like more than a nice meal on a patio. It makes me so, so happy! Some of our favorite patios in Lexington are Enoteca, Grey Goose, Local Taco. Two patios we haven’t enjoyed that I definitely want to are Dudley’s & Honeywood!

3. Grab some Graeter’s Ice Cream!

Since starting FASTer Way to Fat Loss, I’ve been cutting back on the sweets. The program allows me to indulge, it’s just that regular stops to grab a scoop of ice cream aren’t as frequent. I am in need of an ice cream treat. Y’all, I’ve never had ice cream that is as good as Graeter’s! If you’re local, you must, must try it! I don’t even like to grab ice cream anywhere else, because it doesn’t compare. Their seasonal flavors are the best too!

4. Check out the Woodland Art Fair!

Tyler & I mark our calendar for the Woodland Art Fair every year. It’s such a fun way to spend your Saturday. We’ll check out local artists, listen to some music, grab a beer & just enjoy the weekend! The Woodland Art Fair is this Saturday & Sunday at Woodland park.

5. Visit a local winery.

I’ve done this before with girlfriends, but I would love for Tyler & I to visit for a wine tasting. I think Talon Winery has live music on Fridays, the next free Friday we have we’re definitely going!

So it looks like my end of summer bucket lists consists of mainly eating & drinking, but I’m totally okay with that 😉

6. Head to the lake with friends!

I’m lookin’ at you Labor Day weekend! Once football season starts, our Saturday’s revolve around Kentucky home games, and I’m secretly glad the first football game of the season (on Labor Day weekend!) is an away game. Gimme some sunshine & lake time with friends!
