Happy Tuesday y’all! I have been so excited to share this post with y’all today! I am teaming up with one of my favorite local boutiques to share how to survive (& look cute while doing so!) a day at Keeneland. The fall meet is almost here, so it’s time to get those outfits ready, ladies! If you’re not local & you have no clue what I’m talking about, Keeneland is Lexington’s historic racetrack. Horses race there two meets out of the year– one in the spring & one in the fall. On a pretty fall day, there is nothing better than a day at Keeneland, you eat, drink & bet on some ponies! It’s quite the social event and having the right outfit to get you through a long day of tailgating and betting inside is key. Read more to see my tips with Pirie Boutique!

How to survive a day at Keeneland 101:

1. A cute outfit! Everyone wants to look cute at Keeneland. It’s just as fun to find the right outfit as it is to spend the day there, at least it is for me 😉 If you’re local, you need to head on over to Pirie Boutique ASAP! They have so many amazing pieces that are perfect for Keeneland & the fall season ahead.
2. The right layers! Regardless if you’re there for the spring or fall meet, there is always  an occasional cool day at the track. Plus, for whatever reason it always seems 10 degrees cooler once you get out to Keeneland. Always bring a cute jacket &/or wrap or scarf! You will be so glad you did. Trust me, you can still look cute if you do. I love the option of this draped suede jacket from Pirie! Wait till you see the cute one I’m styling below too!
3. Think your shoe choice out carefully. This is not the time to wear your new stiletto pumps, no, no, no. Not only is it just not practical, your feet will be killing you by hour two. Opt for a bootie  or mule you know you can survive the day in! If you’ve been to Keeneland before then you know it can be quite the hike getting there, and the last thing you want is to be miserable because or your shoes. Plus you’ll have more fun if you’re not in pain!
4. Opt for a hands free handbag. Skip the clutch or big tote for the day– a crossbody bag is the way to go! Whether you’re holding a Keeneland Breeze or a betting program, you’ll be glad you don’t have to juggle your bag too.
5. Sunglasses! This seems like an easy one, but don’t forget your sunnies. There crucial when it’s a sunny day at the track. Pirie seriously has the best selection of trendy shades– everything from the $14 pair I’m wearing with Look #2 below or the Quay aviators I’m wearing in Look #1!
