Happy Tuesday y’all! I can hardly believe it is almost the middle of October. As I am sure it has for all of you, this year has just flown by. I don’t think time will slow down anytime soon because our fall seems packed & for good reason– it’s wedding season! The fall months seem like the new ‘IT’ months to get married in the bluegrass. The weather is typically nicer & there is nothing like fall in Kentucky. We have a few on our calendars this fall, so today I thought I would share a some ideas on what to wear to a fall wedding!
I am so excited to have teamed up with Nordstrom for this post because they have the best selection of dresses & accessories that are perfect for those fall weddings! This lace midi dress might be my favorite of the bunch though. I had actually ordered this dress in a fun periwinkle shade this spring, and LOVED it but I ordered the wrong size & by the time I received the dress it was sold out. So needless to say I was so excited to see it back in stock this season– and in 5 colors too! Did I mention it is under $100?!

When I received this dress in the mail, I knew it would be perfect for a wedding we have coming up! The color & the lace sold me. Plus it is so easy to accessorize in case it is a cool October day. I reached for my favorite suede jacket for these photos, but a cashmere wrap would also be a great way to wear this dress for a fall wedding! Or pair over any dress so that matter.
When planning an outfit for a fall wedding, keep in mind the venue. A venue will set the tone for the dress code. If it is outside, you’ll want to reach for a pair of shoes that are suitable for walking in the grass. If it is cold, maybe opt for a mini dress paired with over the knee boots & a jacket. Avoid cutouts, rompers & anything white! None of the above are a good look for a wedding.
If you’re interested in ordering this dress, keep in mind that it runs a bit small. I would recommend sizing up, I am wearing a medium for reference! And I am 5’2, so it is more of a maxi than a midi on me, but I think it can work for ladies of all heights!
