Today’s Austin, TX Travel Guide includes where to stay, eat, drink & play!
TGIF y’all! I can’t believe this time last week I was in Austin, TX with some of my besties. It was a trip we’d been looking forward to for months, and it did not disappoint y’all. I had never been before, and honestly didn’t do much research before we left, but I was ready for a fun bachelorette party.
I’m sharing our daily itinerary from the trip with y’all today! Including where we stayed, ate, drank & played along the way! Keep reading to see all the details from our ATX Bachelorette Party!

I had so much fun packing for this trip! So much so I shared a “What to Pack for Austin” post on Monday!
Day 1:
Flight: There is a direct Allegiant flight from the Cincinnati Airport to the Austin Airport. While flying Allegiant isn’t the most luxurious experience, it’s such an easy flight & tends to be on the more cost effective side. They have several Allegiant flights out of surrounding airports, so we’ve taken several and never had an issue! We’ve taken it to Vegas & Fort Lauderdale a few times, and their flights to Savannah & Destin are on my list!
Check in at The Embassy Suites on South Congress: This hotel was perfect for a larger group, as they have rooms that sleep 6. Also, they have free breakfast & free happy hour every day, which definitely came in handy a few times during our trip! Not to mention this location was perfect for us. It was within walking distance of plenty of restaurants & shops.
Dinner at Cedar Door: By the time we got in from our flight & got settled it was around 8pm, so finding dinner was at the top of our list. We walked here from our hotel too. They had a nice patio & the food was decent. I don’t know if I would put it on my list of places to eat in Austin, but the atmosphere was nice & the beer was cold 😊
We had a BIG day the next day, so we called it an early evening to rest up for the next day!

Day 2:
Jo’s Coffee: We started the day at Jo’s Coffee! This coffee shop has the adorable sign pictured above & some darn good iced coffee. Some of the girls got their breakfast tacos and raved about them.
Shopping on Congress St.: It was still early in the day, so we thought it might be too early to start drinking just yet, so we shopped around a bit before our next stop. My favorite stores we popped into: Cove, The Impeccable Pig & Maya.
Day Drinking on Hotel San Jose’s Patio: Y’all, this might have been my favorite thing we did all trip. The weather was beautiful, their patio was adorable and drinking rosé with my besties on a gorgeous day is just the best.
Lunch at Guero’s Tacos: After drinks we definitely needed something in our bellies. I loved my lunch here! Their tacos were so good & the sangria margarita was even better.
A trip to Handle Bar: The drinking tour continues 😉 It is a bachelorette party after all! We made a brief pit stop here for a drink or two & had so much fun. Their upstairs patio is super cool & led to some fun on a teeter totter. I’ll leave it at that!
Sunset at the Westin’s Rooftop: Per request by the bride, and this view did not disappoint! The view was amazing & the vibe was pretty awesome.
Dinner & Drinks at Upstairs at Caroline’s: When planning this trip the girls knew a lighter dinner was in order before we went out on the town. Too often we’ve planned these trips & had a heavy dinner beforehand & it just killed the vibe. This place was perfect! The atmosphere was so cool, their drinks were yummy & there was plenty of food on the menu for everyone to eat up before we went out.
Drinks & Dancing on 6th St.: If you’re going out for something like a bachelorette party, then 6th street is the place! We started at Maggie Mae’s & had so much fun dancing the night away!

*Side note: we didn’t get a chance to eat at Perla’s, but we passed it several times & it is the cutest!! Their menu is a little on the pricey side if I’m remembering correctly, and a little seafood heavy, but I definitely want to try it next time I’m in Austin!

Day 3:
Lunch at Enoteca: We got a bit of a late start to the morning after the day before. When we ventured out for brunch (keep in mind this is on a Saturday, and not as many places serve Saturday brunch & if they do most don’t take reservations), most places were at a 1-2 hour wait. We were a group of hungry, hungover girls so we needed food asap. LOL. This place was place was able to get us seated right away so we happily obliged. I thought my meal was good, I just didn’t love the atmosphere.
Drinks on Rainey St: Next up!
- Bungalow: We started our Rainey St. shenanigans here, and they had a great outdoor space with some games. Once it started raining we ventured somewhere else.
- The Container Bar: Next stop, The Container Bar. It is a cool place, but it was my least favorite of the three bars we ventured to on Rainey St.
- The Parlor Room: This spot was probably my favorite of the bunch! They had great music and a cool vibe. The outdoor space was really neat too (see the DRINK UP sign above!).
Dinner at Searsucker: Our last dinner of the trip was here, and it was amazing! The food was delicious & the restaurant was so darn cute. Plus they were able to accomodate a party of 12 with a reservation which is always nice!

Day 4:
This was our last day in Austin! Our flight wasn’t until 6:30 pm, so we had almost all day before heading to the airport.
Brunch at Elizabeth Street Café: After stumbling upon this on Instagram I knew I needed to visit! They’re a Vietnamese café & a French Bakery. Get the Singapore Noodles & thank me later. But if that type food isn’t up your alley, it’s definitely worth visiting for coffee & a pastry.
Amy’s Ice Creams: We passed this ice cream shop every day in Austin, so we had to get our fix before leaving town!
And that’s a wrap y’all! We had the best weekend in Austin! There is so much to do in ATX, I am already dying to go back! If you have any Austin favorites, let me know so I can add them to my list for my next trip!

We only live 100 miles from Austin but don’t get over there enough! It’s such a fun place to visit and it looks like you hit it just right. Some friends went recently for a bachelorette party and they did a brunch bus that drove them around to a ton of different places for day drinking and brunch. Anyway..love all your looks and the pictures make this look like the perfect little getaway with friends!
