The ever so charming Charleston, SC, is one of my favorite cities. Wondering what to do in Charleston, SC?! Keep on reading.
Happy Friday y’all! I’m wrapping up the week with my better late than never Charleston roundup. Tyler & I spent two nights in the holy city with his parents a few weeks back & every time we visit Charleston I fall in love with the city more & more. We took this same trip this time last year, and I shared everything we did & everywhere we went in this blog post.
*Disclaimer: I was also in Charleston in December, and didn’t do a travel roundup, so I am including some of our stops in the roundup!
Where to Stay:
I can’t recommend this hotel enough. We stayed here last year, and it never disappoints. The service is always top notch, the rooms are cozy & comfy, and it’s just gorgeous. We stayed in a suite with it’s own little terrace which was so neat. Did I mention they have complementary cheese & wine in the evenings? The location is amazing too, it’s within walking distance to King Street & so many other shops & restaurants.
Not to mention they have complementary bikes to use as well. We didn’t get a chance to utilize this last year, so when we had an extra hour to spare this trip we took them up on this. Tyler & I love riding bikes y’all, it’s such a fun way to see a city too.

Where to EAT:
La Farfalle: I love this little italian restaurant! I visited Charleston with my blogger gal pals last December & Kristin took us to this darling restaurant. I loved it so much I put it on our agenda this trip too. The atmosphere is just cute as the food is delicious and they have outdoor seating which is always a plus! It’s only a 2 minute walk from The Restoration which was super convenient.
Hanks Seafood: A quintessential Charleston seafood joint. Honestly, this meal wasn’t my favorite and the atmosphere was just so so. But I will say the service was top notch and the wine was delicious.
Hominy Grill: Looking for a yummy brunch or breakfast? This is the place. It’s a charming little joint. It’s not stuffy at all, it’s just good, good southern food.
5 Church: We popped into this restaurant for lunch one day & it was so cool! It’s in an old church, and the vibe was neat. I didn’t love my fish tacos, but the rest of the fam approved!
Basic Kitchen: Basic Kitchen is right across the street from our hotel! The food in Charleston is so good, but it’s typically pretty heavy & rich southern food. If you’re looking for a fresh, light lunch or breakfast this place is perfect for that. The decor is adorable too!
Miller’s All Day: This is a newer joint if I remember correctly, only open for breakfast & lunch. This was our first meal when we got into Charleston, a late lunch, and while we were starving (so anything would have tasted good) the lunch was delicious. Get the club sandwich & the home fries, you can thank me later!
Where to Shop:
Sapphire Boutique: I stumbled upon this little store this trip & I was in love! They carry so many cute & affordable brands too.
Anywhere on King Street! You can really spend a full day shopping on King Street! There is everything from boutiques to gift shops, to your typical mall stores & designers shops. There are plenty of shops for men too.
Maris Dehart: We stumbled upon this shop when we were walking to rainbow row, and I wanted one of everything! The store is so chic & the price point was much lower than I thought it would be. Definitely a must shop.
Candlefish: Who doesn’t love a good candle?! This shop has so many to choose from, plus plenty of cute gifts too. AND you can make your own candles! We didn’t get a chance to do it, but I definitely want to next visit.
Skinny Dip: I’ll be honest, the clothes they sell are a little out of my budget for the most part, but it is worth stopping in! There is a coffee & wine bar upstairs and they have sell some pretty cute gifts & accessories!
