My winter beauty routine includes 6 products that are on repeat! Read all about these beauty buys in today’s January Beauty Favorites.
Happy Thursday y’all! I hope everyone is having a good week! Kentucky has warmed up a little bit, but it’s still cold enough to just want to snuggle up on the couch without leaving the house.. But I digress. Beauty is one of my favorite things to blog about, finding the best products and the most effective ones makes me so so happy! With that being said, you can always find a sporadic beauty post around here, and it’s time to change that. I am starting a new series here on G&G! Each month I’ll be sharing my beauty favorites. Some will be old faithfuls, some may be brand new buys, but I’m telling y’all this today to hold myself accountable. I’ve always wanted to do more beauty posts so 2019 is the year they become a regular thing around here!
First up:: my January Beauty Favorites!
- Kenra Dry Texture Spray: In case you’re new here, my hair has ZERO texture. Zilch, zip, none, so that’s where this product comes in! It adds some serious texture to my hair. Beware though, a little goes a longggg way. If I want something more natural for the day, I’ll just flip my head over and spray underneath my hair & a smidge in my roots. But if I am reallyyyy wanting some volume & texture, I lift sections of my hair, spray in my roots & throughout the strands & give it a good tease. This takes my hair from lifeless to totally textured.
- Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer: My vanity in our new house has mirrors on the sides as well as the front, and there is something about having those mirrors everywhere that makes me more aware of everything going on (and every flaw) on my skin… Hello pores! I have been on the hunt for a good poor filling primer & this one is the winner! It makes my skin look so smooth, and helps with the longevity of my foundation.
- Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline Perfume: I just recently ran out of my Tocca Colette perfume (which I LOVE btw!), but I wanted to buy something new(ish). I love this scent. I actually wore it on our wedding day. It’s a beautiful, bright scent that smells so fresh to me. They describe it as a floral scent, but I don’t find it’s overwhelmingly floral.
- Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner: The best liquid liner on the market! Once dry, this stuff doesn’t budge! I used to have this in my makeup collection & ran out, for whatever reason I didn’t replenish until recently. If am I looking for a black eyeliner, this is the one I reach for.
- First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy: This is a new to me product & I have been loving it. I love layering this under my Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. It does a good job brightening my under eyes, and the metal tip makes application so easy!
- Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso: I borrowed Kristin’s Beso when we were in CHS in December & I fell in love! I love the color, the way it wears & applies. I can’t speak for other colors, but if you’re looking for the perfect red Beso is it!
