Happy Wednesday y’all! Remember when January was the slowest month ever? Yea, well March is the opposite. How is it April next week?! Between CHS Wine + Food, a bachelorette trip & March Madness, this month has been a whirlwind. But I’m v excited for April. Not only do some of our best friends get married in a few weeks, Keeneland’s spring meet will kick off the first week!

I always look forward to Keeneland, as do most of Lexingtonians! It’s such a fun Kentucky tradition, and the perfect excuse to get dressed up with friends to enjoy a beautiful spring day & bet on some ponies. The spring meet is always a little tricky, as I feel like the weather is most unpredictable. It could be 75 & sunny one day and a brisk 50 the next. Regardless of the temps, it always feels about 10 degrees cooler at the track with a side of wind! So dress accordingly y’all.

One thing I love about Keeneland is because while it’s fun to get dressed up, you could easily go in jeans & sneakers if that is what you’re feeling. But for the sake of a fun outfit, here is what I’ll be wearing to Keeneland this spring.

This $50 wrap dress is Keeneland perfection! Not only is it $50, it comes in 10 different prints. I love the idea of sporting this dress for a day at the races because it’s long sleeve, which will keep you warmer on cool days. But the sleeves aren’t lined so you won’t be burning up if it’s on the warmer side.

If you need to layer up for a cool day, add a denim or suede jacket, or even a wrap! Pair it with anything from booties to sneakers if you want to avoid open toe shoes. Lord willing it’s a beautiful 75 & sunny day, all you need is a pair of sunnies & sandals to get you through the day!

If you are going to go the heel route, a block heel is a MUST! You will be up & down and walking all around, so the last thing you want to wear is a high heel that’s going to kill your feet. You know your tolerance when it comes to heels, so my one word of advice is wear what your comfortable with!
