One of the most popular questions I get regarding TRIM Bootcamp is how it differs from the FASTer Way to Fat Loss, so today I am breaking everything down & sharing the biggest reasons why I’m a TRIM gal now.

Happy Tuesday y’all! It’s another freaking cold KY day. Spring feels so close, yet so far away. Even though we’ve hardly gotten a taste of spring, I have a feeling summer & bathsuit season will be here before we know it, and I am prepping for some fun in the sun with TRIM Bootcamp. Disclaimer:: I participate in this program for several reasons. Yes, to feel good in a bathsuit, but more importantly to feel good about myself, find a balance with food & fun and to feel strong and healthy.
As many of y’all know & read, I participated in several rounds of the FWTFL a few years ago. My sorority sister, Valerie (the founder of SMOfitness), became certified in the program. Did I like it? Yes. Did it work? Absolutely. So why the switch? Valerie didn’t renew her certification and decided to start her own program with Kate Horning that allowed more control. Insert TRIM!
So what is TRIM? TRIM is a 7 week online program that allows you to trim your waistline & burn fat, all while educating you on nutrition, providing you with effective & efficient workouts, a support system & so much more y’all! Read all about it here. But I really just want to get into the difference between the two programs. This is in no way to bash FWTFL, just to educate y’all on TRIM & the differences. Okay, let’s get down to it.
The similarities between the two:
- A prep week
- 6 weeks of workouts & nutrition
- Macro counting
- Intermittent fasting
- Carb cycling
Why TRIM is different:
- Easy access to a certified trainer & nutritionist: Kate (the nutritionist) and Val (the trainer) are a very knowledgable dynamic duo
- A more intimate Facebook support group, the founders are actually present & involved in every group
- MEAL PLANNING SOFTWARE:: y’all I cannot count the amount of “is there a meal plan?” questions I received when doing FWTFL. The meal planning software you have access to through TRIM allows you to customize it to your preferences, dietary restrictions, etc. I truly feel like this is a game changer & one of the biggest differences between the two programs
- The meal planning software includes 800 macro friendly meals that are integrated with My Fitness Pal
- The macros & carb cycling guidelines are more tailored to achieve better results. I can’t give away the secret sauce, so I’ll just leave it at that
I think that about sums up the difference between the two programs. I personally feel like TRIM is more suitable for what I’m looking for in a lifestyle change. I appreciate & feel like I get more bang for my buck with TRIM, but the support & resources really seal the deal.
