I feel like I’m the last one on the Golden Goose trend train, but here we are! Today I’m sharing a Golden Goose review:: ft. my honest thoughts on the sneakers, sizing & where to buy on sale!
Happy Monday y’all! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! I am kicking off the week up with my HONEST opinion of my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers. I am about 2 years late to this trend, but better late then never, right?! My dad has been wearing their sneakers for yearssss, and I always thought he was a little nuts for buying sneakers that look distressed. Then I started seeing them EVERYWHERE on Instagram.
Let me tell y’all a little bit about me, for whatever reason I find myself resisting trends & pieces that everyone & their mother is wearing. These sneakers were definitely at the top of my “I’m never buying” list. Jokes on me because I bought a pair and cannot stop wearing them.
So why did I finally purchase? Honestly, I was curious more than anything. Never did I ever think they’d be worth the money, but I needed to see for myself. My curiosity peaked, and I couldn’t resist anymore. Now it was time to find a pair I knew I could wear with a lot of things. I had my eyes on a glitter pair, but was worried I wouldn’t wear them enough. Y’all know I love me some leopard, so when I saw this pair with the leopard laces I knew they were meant to be.
I read sizing reviews, and the consensus on the Superstar style was to size up if you’re in between sizes. I am a true 7.5, so I went with the 8 & they fit like a glove. Once they arrived on my doorstep I was ready to put them to the test. If I didn’t 100% love I told myself I would return. Sadly for my wallet & gladly for my closet, they did not need returning. I love them y’all. They’re so cool, they instantly make the most boring outfit, and they’re actually really comfortable. I have been wearing them on my walks to Starbucks, it’s about 1 mile each way, and I’ve had no issue with them rubbing, causing blisters, etc.
All of that rambling to say I am really glad I purchased this pair. I know I will wear them to death throughout summer. I think I got them in the mail 2 weeks ago & I’ve honestly worn them like 10 times already. They’re definitely coming with me to Italy, and I might force Tyler to visit the Golden Goose store in Rome… I get why people have multiple pairs now, because I already want to more loud pair..
Let’s be honest, they’re no cheap pair of sneakers. I totally get it if people don’t think they’re worth the money. But if you’re on the fence about them, and are looking for them on sale, head over to Saks Off Fifth! A follower told me this little secret, and they have some great styles in stock & on sale!
So do I think they’re worth it? I do, but I can also wear sneakers everyday to work, so I know I’ll get my money’s worth. Are the comfortable? 100%, this is no lie y’all.

You are gorgeous. I just can’t get behind a trend of $500 sneakers that look like they have already been worn… I guess I am in the minority. I wish people would stop perpetuating this kind of ridiculous fashion trend. I hate that people think they need to aspire to this absurdity and I see it in my friend group. Moms standing around at birthday parties in their similar but different GG sneakers… ugh. If you’re on the fence, you DON’T have to add to this craziness.

Hey Frannie! I appreciate your kind comment, and totally respect your view point. This post wasn’t aiming to perpetuate anything, just to simply share my honest thoughts & opinions on a pair of sneakers.
