Happy Wednesday y’all! The spring has been alll about faking it until I make it. My tan that is. There are no beach trips on my calendar until late summer, so I desperately need a little color until them. I a better person when I’m tan, what can I say?! I’ve discovered several products that do just that & I can’t wait to share them (and the rest of my April beauty favorites!) with y’all!
My April Favorites:
- Laura Geller Blush in Tropical Hues: Her baked blushes are some of my absolute favorites! The shade Tropical Hues is so fun for spring. It brings such life to my cheeks with the prettiest sheen.
- Dior Glow Palette: This is another face palette that can be used multiple ways! I love using this as a highlight & using these shades on my lids as well. It makes the palette a little more versatile too.
- My new go to eyelash routine:
- Lancôme Cils Booster Primer: I always thought that mascara primers were a racket & now I am eating my words. This primer has added such length & volume to my lashes like no other.
- They’re Real Mascara: Once I’ve applied my primer, I go in with this mascara. I’ve had this mascara unopened in my makeup drawer for months! It was gifted to me, and I vaguely remember not liking a sample I got when it first launched. For whatever reason I pulled it out & used it with the Cils Booster & was blown away! This mascara doesn’t add volume, but the length is unmatched.
- Super Hero Mascara: Lastly I coat my lashes with my ride or die Super Hero mascara. This mascara could honestly be in my monthly favorites every single month. It is the best hands down, but by layering this on top of the previous two really takes my lashes to the next level.
- Vita Liberata Body Blur: Want to look like you have super model legs? I’ll never not have a bottle of this in my collection! It tans, smooths & blurs your skin. It’s like magic! The best part about this product is that once you apply it, there is minimal transfer. I’m not going to lie, there is some initial transfer onto clothes, but nothing drastic that removes the product. I have the shade Latte, but they have several shades for different skin tones which I love!
- Estée Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation: {shade 2C3 Fresco when not tan & 3N1 when I have self tanned} After my beloved Dior foundation was “reformulated” I was on the hunt for a new everyday foundation. I gave the Fenty Beauty foundation a go, and I really do like it. I was obsessed a few months ago, but needed a new shade for my self tanned shade. I picked up this foundation on a whim, and am so pleasantly surprised. I tried the cult favorite & regular Double Wear foundation a few years ago, and didn’t love, but this is totally different. The coverage is definitely light-medium, but once I have my full face on it works wonders, keeps my oils at bay & lasts ALL day. No joke.
- Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Kim K. W.: Am I a broken record yet? Oh well, this lipstick continues to be a favorite of mine, but I’ve been using it a lot with the Rimmel lipliner mentioned below & it darkens & deepens the pink shade up just enough.
- Rimmel Lipliner in Eastend Snob: This is my favorite lipliner ever. I’ve had it for years & repurchased several times. It’s creamy, comfortable to wear and the prettiest pink shade. Sometimes I line & fill in my lips with this & then just wear a balm over top & I’m good to go.
- New FAVORITE Self Tanner: I’ve been a Loving Tan fan for years, but lately I haven’t been as pleased as I usually am with the results. After hearing so many amazing things about Isle of Paradise I caught them in stock & decided to give them a go!
- Isle of Paradise Primer: I’ve only ever used the tanning water with the primer, and I have been really pleased with the results so if you can I would definitely recommend picking up the primer.
- Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Water in Dark: I have heard nothing but rave reviews about this brand of self tanner. I was originally on the hunt for the drops but they were sold out, so I bought the water instead & I’ve been so pleased. It’s much more subtle than other tanners I’ve used, and there is no color guard, but the pros outweigh the cons x’s 10! One, it takes no time at all to apply and two, that nasty self tanner smell isn’t nearly as bad. If you can find these in a Sephora store or are able to catch them in stock online I highly recommend!
What are your spring beauty favorites?!
