The holidays have me pulling out all of my festive makeup finds. Today’s I’m sharing why I love all of these holiday beauty favorites.
Happy Thursday y’all! We’re one day out from our first weekend full of holiday parties! We have Tyler’s company Christmas party Friday & our 4th annual Christmas party on Saturday. I am so excited for the weekend, and I might or might not already be thinking about how I want to do my makeup for the events. Do I go with a bold lip & a neutral eye or a fun eye & a nude lip? Decisions, decisions!
In the spirit of the holidays, keep reading for my Holiday Beauty Favorites!
My Holiday Beauty Favorites:
- A versatile palette: Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glow Palette is on repeat for me because it is SO versatile. I can create everything from an everyday eye to a full on smokey look to a shimmery festive combo.
- A neutral blush: I can’t put down Buxom’s blush in Seychelles right now. I love a neutral blush this time of year because I tend to reach for a bold lip color or do a fun eye this time of year. Having something neutral on the cheeks doesn’t compete too much with one of the above. MAC Melba is another great neutral blush.
- Skin perfecting solutions: I love adding a little shimmer to my skin during the holidays! This Charlotte Tilbury Supermodel Body Shimmer Lotion is so good y’all. I know it is a little pricey for what it is, but I do really enjoy it. I’ll put it on my arms, legs & chest. When I REALLYYYY want to make my legs look flawless, the Vita Liberata is 100% my favorite. It is the BEST & so worth the money. I have the shade Latte.
- Bronzers: I love a gorgeous bronzed look during the holidays. I love this Fenty Bronzer for a matte all over bronze. I have the shade Shady Biz. But my Hourglass Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light is my holy grail. It isn’t as matte, but the finish it leaves on your skin is stunning.
- Highlight: My holiday makeup looks are not complete without a highlight. I love this holiday edition Bobbi Brown one. Other ones I’ve been reaching for lately: this Dior Highlight in 01 Nude Glow & this MAKE UP FOR EVER highlight in 2 Golden.
- This palette: If you want a neutral blush, bronzer & highlight for the holidays, this palette kills 3 birds with one stone. Hourglass makes the best powder products.
- A Red Lip: I love a red lip this time of year. There are SO many different formulas & shades of red to choose from, but my current favorite is Dragon Girl by NARS. Their Velvet Matte Lipstick Pencil is one of my all time favorite formulas. It is comfortable to wear & long wearing.
- Glitter Liner: I know this won’t be for everyone, but it’s a fun way to add a little something to your eye look. I love the Urban Decay ones because they’re so easy to use. My fav color is Midnight Cowboy, but it comes in a lot of different shades.
- More glitter: More is more during the holidays right?! I love these Stila Glitter & Glow Eyeshadows for the holidays. If you want a glitter look on the lid these are SO easy to use. My faves are:: Kitten Karma & Wanderlust.
- Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pots: If you want to add an extra pop to the lid, these are everything. They give you the prettiest shimmer! My favs: Sun Drenched & Top Yacht.
- The BEST eye shadow primer: If you’re going to use eye shadow this holiday season, Too Faced Glitter Glue is a must. It makes your shimmer & glitter shades stick to your lid like glue. How to use:: do not prep the eye with this. Prep your eye with another primer, and do everything about your eye look except the lid. Pat just a tiny tiny amount of this on the lid, then pack the shimmer or glitter on top.
