I’m sharing the new bag I can’t stop carrying & my essentials I keep with me at all times in another edition of What’s in my Bag.
Happy Wednesday y’all! I don’t know how happy it is exactly, but I am choosing to make the most out of this COVID 19, self quarantine situation. Tyler & I are opting to stay in, and only venture out for outside walks or if necessary. It is not lost on me that we are both fortunate to have jobs that allow us to work from home, and for that we are very grateful. My heart is heavy for those affected by this virus (both directly & as a result of businesses closing), it is heavy for those medical professionals who have to go into work every day & put themselves on the front line of this pandemic. I do not take it lightly, and do not ever want y’all to think I am being insensitive about the situation.
However, because my goal for Glitter & Gingham has always been to be a place of inspiration, I plan on carrying out my content as business as usual. I hope you all can understand that. With all of that said, today’s post is all about “what’s in my bag”. I love catching posts like this, so I thought it would be fun to share.
Disclaimer, I didn’t organize or prep my bag for this dump, what y’all see is what I’ve actually been carrying in my bag lately. Not pictured:: cash, a target gift card, change & cough drops.
First up, the bag I’ve been carrying nonstop! My new Saint Laurent Lou Camera Bag. I love a good carry all crossbody, and this bag is just that. The strap is adjustable, and surprisingly spacious. It is the perfect size for me, and fits everything I need with room for more. It’s 9 in x 6 in & 2.5(ish) inches deep. I have the new laminated leather in pale gold. I love this laminated leather because it seems more resistant from wear than a typical smooth leather.
What’s in my Bag::
- Karen Walker Superstar Sunglasses: I LOVE these sunnies so much. I bought them a few years agi & they’re just about the only pair of sunglasses I wear. I love the unique shape, and how they look great with both casual & dressy outfits.
- Pat McGrath Labs Lipgloss in ‘Love Potion’: This has been my most reached for gloss of late. This is an expensive lipgloss, but it is worth the splurge y’all. It is the prettiest cool tone pink with a great iridescent shimmer to it.
- SD Card Reader for iPhone: I keep one of these in my computer bag & in my bag just in case. This allows me to use my camera, then quickly transfer the photos to my iPhone. I know most cameras have wifi function that allows you to do so, mine do, but I find this is quicker & easier.
- Madewell Chunky Oversized Hoops: These were in my car, so I put them into my bag so I wouldn’t lose them. I swear by these $28 hoops. They’re the best statement hoops. They aren’t too heavy, and I had my first pair for nearly a year. I love them so much I got a replacement pair.
- AirPods Pro + Case: I sweat by my AirPods, and am never without them. I use them for work, leisure, workouts, etc! This under $10 case is great too.
- Charlotte Tilbury Lip Liner in Pillow Talk: This is my perfect, wear with everything, lip liner. I wear nearly any pinky/nude lip color over this lip liner.
- Lancome Eyelash Primer: This lash primer takes my lashes from a 6 to a 8-10! It is so good! I’ve used other primers, more affordable options & none work as are well for me. I always keep this with my mascara below. See my full lash routine here.
- IT Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara: My holy grail mascara. I am notorious for doing my mascara in the car or on the go, so I always keep a tube of mascara in my bag at all times. See my full lash routine here.
- Hand Sanitizer: Because DUH.
- Gucci Marmont Card Case: I am a cardcase kind of gal. I much prefer carrying smaller bag, so a card case frees up space & allows me to carry all of my necessary items.
- Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Powder: This is the BEST touchup powder if you have oily skin. It can take makeup that I’ve had on all day & seriously make it look brand new. I swear by this, and keep on in my bag & one in my makeup bag.
- Perfume Sample in Baccarat 540: This perfume is AMAZING, albeit stupid expensive. I would typically NEVER even try a fragrance so expensive, but a handful of gals on this trip were wearing it and I was in love! It’s on sale right now, which lightens the blow.
- Verb Energy Bar: I like to have a bar on hand incase I get hangry or need a snack on the go. I normally have a protein bar, but today I had a Verb Energy in there. These are great because they double as a snack & have caffeine in them.
- Altoids Smalls: I love having this little tin of mints on hand, and the size makes it super convenient to keep in my bag.
- Aquaphor: Another HOLY GRAIL product. If I don’t have aquaphor with me, I always wish I did. I have used this product since I was put on accutane in high school. It cures all things:: chapped lips, dry skin. I prefer the healing ointment for my lips, not the lip repair.
- NARS Lip Balm in Fast Lane: The packaging kind of got me on this, but I have been using it almost every day. It is a great lip balm for everyday looks. I love the piny sheen it leaves on the lips too. It is really comfortable to wear.
- Marc Jacobs Lip Gloss in Skin Deep: These glosses are great! They’re super pigmented, so beware, but they give your lips the prettiest pout.
And that’s a wrap y’all! I’d love to know what’s in your bag!

LOVE verb bars! My mom turned me onto them recently and now I’m hooked. Can’t believe how much you can fit in that bag!
