During quarantine, before quarantine, I’m sharing 12 items I use every day. From kitchen gadgets, to storage & organization, there’s something for everyone.
Happy Friday y’all! One upside of this quarantine, I’ve had some extra time to brainstorm & draw inspiration for different sources. I’ll be honest, this normally takes a back seat as I go through the motions of a “busy” day. I’ve even taken more time to read others’ blogs. I used to LOVE doing this when I first started blogging. I stumbled upon this blog post of Olivia Rink’s & loved reading her roundup, so I thought I would do my own rendition.
Today I’m sharing 12 items I use every day. For the sake of this list I’m removing most electronics (i.e. iPhone, laptop, iPad) and most beauty products (the list would be too dang long! ha). Most are things I’ve used for yearssss, but some are newcomers that I cannot quit using. Listed in no particular order 😉
I hope y’all enjoy! xo!
This is one of my “beauty” exceptions. I have used aquaphor since high school & swear by this stuff, the spray on, the ointment, etc. It is the solution to ALL things dry skin. I mainly use this on my lips throughout the day, and it is a lifesaver. I also use this at night on my hands. I cannot stand when my hands are dry, so I make sure to use it before I go to sleep & it really works to my hands soft throughout the day!
I cannot live without my AirPods y’all. Not a day goes by without me using them. I use them when working out, when chatting on the phone (so I can multitask), to listen to podcasts, while working, etc! I had the original pair for years, and Tyler just recently bought me the AirPods Pro. For the most part the Pros are much better than the original. They have a noise cancellation feature & transparency feature (this allows you to pick up background noise while using), as well as a “normal” feature which I assume is what the originals were. The pros are also much better when it comes to using them outside. The originals would pick up wind & outside noise like woah when on the phone. The only thing I don’t like about the Pros is that they aren’t as comfortable to wear as the originals, but that is just a personal preference.
Contact wearer over here! I used to live in my contacts y’all, I wear the daily prescription, and some nights I would just toss my contacts & go to sleep. I FINALLY replaced my old glasses with this pair from Warby Parker & I find myself wearing them so much more often. They have blue light lenses, so I make sure to take my contacts out early evening & wear my glasses throughout the night to give my eyes a break. This is the style Welty.
4. Soma Robe:
Y’all these robes are hands down the best! Soma has gifted me a few over the years, and I rotate them all throughout the week. The reason they’re so great is because of the material they’re made out of. It’s super soft, and the material is the perfect weight to throw on post shower. They’re breezy & don’t make you hot post shower like heavier robes do. I get ready in one every morning.
This is the perfect jewelry box for my everyday, most loved jewels. Y’all know I wear plenty of jewelry, so having a place to organize my pieces is a must. I love this one because it’s gorgeous, and it has compartments for everything from large earrings, bangles, rings, dainty necklaces & everything inbetween. If this one is too big for ya, they make a great smaller version too.
This was my most recent purchase I’ve made that made the list, but I am already obsessed!! I mean nugget ice makes every beverage SO much better. We decided to order this one because we’re currently without a kitchen due to renovations. Thankfully we still have a fridge, but there’s no water hookup, so no ice. This ice machine is a splurge, but as far as ice machines go, it isn’t that bad. Plus there’s no water hookup needed, it just plugs right in.
I was so hesitant to buy this blanket. I never thought it would be worth the money, but I was so wrong. I haven’t found one blanket that compares to the Barefoot Dreams blanket in terms of softness. It is just so dang good. We cozy up with them every night. I know they’re a splurge, but they’re so worth the money in my opinion!
8. Amazing Grass Superfood Tablet:
I’ve been popping a tablet into my water every morning, and I just feel so much better throughout the day. 1 tablet has one serving of greens & vegetables + plenty of hydrations & electrolytes! They have other products, but I find the hydrate tablet is the easiest to drink.
9. It Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara:
The last beauty exception of the list, because it is my holy grail, if I only had one makeup product, product. I know I have talked about this mascara for years, but it is my all time favorite. I don’t wear makeup every day, but I feel like I use a swipe of this daily. Putting a little mascara on makes me feel so much better! If you’re interested in my full lash routine, read it here!
I stumbled upon these thanks to my gals at Two Peas in a Prada, and have been using it every night since! It is perfect for reading in bed, late night needlepointing or an early morning work session! I have the standard size, and Tyler has the XL size, and we both use ours nightly.
11. Storm Candles:
I am pretty picky about candle scents, but the Capri Blue Volcano candle (the infamous Anthro candle) is one of my favorites. Sadly, it’s just too expensive to stock throughout the house. My gal Michele @ Crafting Culture discovered these Scentsational Storm Candles that are such an amazing dupe for the Volcano candle! Sadly the best place to get them is HomeGoods, and they’re obviously closed right now, but the second they open I’ll be stocking up!
12. Day Designer:
This was a BQ (before quarantine) daily product. Yes I still use a paper planner, but here me out! I love this particular planner because of it’s layout, the page per day feature is my favorite. In addition to planning out my day, I use it to create my to do lists for the day. I like that they’re all in one place, they won’t get lost and I can reference them at a later date.
