I’m making the most of my closet these days, and getting a little creative with this Rebecca Minkoff dress— sharing 5 ways to wear it this spring & summer.
I understand this print is probably loud for most, but I love it! When I originally ordered it, I didn’t really think twice about how I would wear it. My gal pal Veronica shares a weekly 5 ways to wear an item & I always LOVE what she comes up with. I was inspired by her to find different ways to wear this fun, printed dress. My themes: simple, sporty, summery, a print mix & layered.
I am in a size small for reference.
Rebecca Minkoff Dress / Bag / Wedges / Belt / Hoops
This was my simple look! There is nothing wrong with letting a piece of clothing speak for itself. I love the print, and by pairing it with neutral accessories, the dress totally speaks for itself.
Dress / Sweatshirt / Bag / similar Sneakers / Hoops
Next up is my sporty combo! I cannot stop wearing this sweatshirt. It is SO soft, and the fit is great. It is slightly cropped on me (I’m 5’2, so if you’re taller than me it will be more cropped FYI), and I think it’s perfect to layer over a more feminine dress or skirt for some juxtaposition. Tip: to get this to tuck in look I wore a belt & tucked it under.
Dress / Denim Jacket / Bag / Hat / Sandals
This was my summer style for the dress! I will pair a denim jacket over nearly anything, so I knew it would be perfect for this dress too. I like wearing mine around my waist during the summer months because I can always throw it on if I get chilly at night or indoors. Topped with my FAV straw hat & there ya go!
Dress / similar Leopard Jacket (and here) / Bag / similar Belt / similar Loafers
I had to have a little fun with this print & add a little (okay, a big) pop of leopard. I love mixing leopard with nearly anything, and I think it is so fun mixed with the bold print of the dress. Tip: mix a more neutral print (like leopard) with a more colorful print for some balance. I like the idea of keeping this combo a little feminine with these pink loafers.
Dress / similar Sweater / Bag / Belt / Earrings / Shoes
And lastly, a layered look. It is spring after all, and Kentucky is notorious for cool mornings & warm afternoons. By layering a little cardigan you can stay warm & springlike throughout the day. Neutral accessories completed this look that would be perfect for work, church, etc. (post quarantine, of course).
How would you style this dress for spring & summer?!
