Eye makeup tops off every makeup look & I have some amazing products I’m seriously loyal too. Today’s favorite eye makeup roundup includes: palettes, liners & more!
Happy Tuesday y’all! It is a soggy one in KY, and I’m already ready for the holiday weekend. To kick the week off I’m starting with a roundup of my favorite eye makeup! Not all eye makeup is created equal, and I’ll admit that I haven’t done my eye makeup a ton over the quarantine, but I feel like I’ve solidified my favorites over the past few months.
Favorite Eyeshadow Primers:
- MAC Paint Pot in Painterly: This is an oldie but goodie product in my collection and great to prime the eyes. It helps the shadow last all day.
- Too Faced Glitter Glue: This is a must have when it comes to using really glittery powder shadows. I use this product a bit different that a normal eyeshadow primer. I will use my MAC Paint Pot, start my eye makeup & then I pat this on my lid right before I use the glittery shade which is usually the last step.
Favorite Eye Liner:
- Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eyeliner: This has been a long time staple in my makeup bag, and it has lasted forever! I love the consistency of this formula. It does transfer to the lid on occasion (but I have a problem with this all the time), but it is really long wearing!
- Charlotte Tilbury Eyeliner Duo: This was a recent purchase but it truly blew me away. It is creamy upon application & sets to a budge proof finish. It’s LONG lasting, no transfering onto the eye lid & really unique shades! The green combo is my fav!
Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes:
I am all about a smaller palette. Every time I’ve purchased a large palette, I only use a handful of shades, it takes up so much space & I never get my money out of it. I have one larger palette included in this list, but it is pretty unique so that’s why.
- Natasha Denona Mini Eyeshadow Palettes: Not all shades are created equal, my favorites are the Mini Nude, Mini Star & Mini Sunset. These little guys are amazing. You can create a number of looks from day to night, and is really all you need to create a full eyeshadow look.
- Artist Couture: This was a recent purchase, and disclaimer the shimmers aren’t my favorite. However, it makes the list because it is the only palette I have that does a great job including both warm & cool neutral tones. As someone who loves a neutral eye, you can create any neutral eye look with this palette! It also has an amazing mirror on the inside that I reach for all the time when doing my makeup.
- Charlotte Tilbury Darling Eye Palette: I am new to the rosey toned eyeshadow trend, and this palette has made it so easy to achieve a rose toned look. Three shimmers, three mattes & really tons of options when it comes to creating different looks.
Favorite Single Eyeshadows:
- Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize: This little product packs a punch! My all time favorite single eyeshadow is this product in Marie Antoinette. It is the most beautiful color. It’s a super easy to apply product too! You definitely have to use an eyeshadow primer before you apply this btw.
- Too Faced Crystal Whips: These are my new found obsessions! I’ve been wearing them on their own, on top of other eyeshadows, etc. I have Pop the Bubbly!, Totally Whipped & Tap That.
- Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow: These are great little shadows to add to your collection for a pop of shimmer. I have shades Smoke & Reflect.
I always top all of my eye look this lash routine that I swear by!
And that’s a wrap y’all! I hope you enjoyed this roundup. I’d love to hear your favorite eye makeup products you sweat by.
