Quarantine update: I’m over our kitchen renovation, I can’t wait to have somewhere to wear this outfit, but today I’m sharing 5 things getting me through quarantine.
Happy Happy Wednesday y’all! Blog posts are less frequent around here, and I hate that so much. But let’s face it, it feels weird to venture outside to shoot an outfit I won’t be wearing anytime soon. I’d love to branch out & share some favorite recipes or cocktails with y’all, but not having a kitchen makes that a little difficult.
So nevertheless, I’m just making do! Today I’m sharing what’s getting me through quarantine. It’s not been easy, but I’m trying to stay grateful & positive. It’s the little things right?!
1. New hobbies
Quarantine is the perfect time to start a new hobby, & I’ll take any excuse to not have to organize my closet. I can’t stop needlepointing. I’ve needlepointed in the past, and had been wanting to pick it back up. What better time than with quarantine?! I picked up these two adorable dog collars at Eye of the Needle in Lexington, but they ship! I had to call to get the name personalization btw.
Puzzles have also been a go to hobby for me during quarantine!
2. Staying Active
While working out from home is not my favorite thing in the world, it’s been so helpful in keeping me sane! My favorite resources for quarantine workouts: Reach & LIFT, Carly Ann Dell & Lauren Elyce Fit. We’ve been staying active in other ways too & it has been good for the soul. Tyler & I will just take off on our bikes & ride all afternoon if our schedule & the weather allows. We’ll explore new surrounding neighborhoods, or ride to pick up groceries, ice cream, to go dinner or beers from our favorite neighborhood joints.
3. The Pups
I honestly don’t know what I would do if we didn’t have the pups. Quarantine would be much much lonelier. We’ve lucked out & had some really great weather, & we love taking the little lady on walks. Calvin can’t really hang on the long walks, so he gets to stay home & relax, which he prefers.
4. Game Night
Almost every weekend we have our own little game night. It’s been our weekend activity since quarantine started. Our current favorite game: Mexican Train Dominos! It is so fun y’all, and can be played with 2 players. Tyler & I also love a game of gin rummy.
5. Grey’s Anatomy
What would quarantine be without a good ole Netflix binge watching session?! I watched the first 5ish seasons of Grey’s in real time, but didn’t keep up with it. I somehow convinced Tyler to start it from the beginning and we are HOOKED. I forgot how good those first few seasons were! Can’t stop, won’t stop watching.
Other favorite quarantine shows: All American, Outer Banks & The Last Dance.
What are y’all binging during quarantine?!

I’ve heard that Cribbage is a fun 2 player game!! There’s a cute whale version at LL Bean
Excited to try the Mexican train dominos!

You are rocking quarantine lady! Definitely with you on staying active – that has helped so much – think I am actually in better shape than pre-quarantine which I wasn’t expecting haha. Definitely bingeing as well – we LOVED Outerbanks and I honestly want to watch it again haha. Baking as always been a great past time!
