Happy Friday y’all! How many is too many floral dresses for fall? Asking for a friend… I can’t stop styling floral dresses for fall & today’s might just be my favorite of the bunch. It is a splurge, so I am sharing two different ways I’ll be styling it this season & how to make the most of your closet this fall.
Floral Mini Dress Take 1:
This dress just feels like me & I love it so much! The minute I saw this print I was obsessed. It is a splurge, but I grabbed it on sale & already new several different ways I wanted to wear it this fall. Tyler is in a wedding next weekend, and this little number is what I have packed to wear Friday night before the wedding.
This first way I am styling it for y’all is easy peasy. No fuss, just a fun heeled mule & a mix of texture with a pop of velvet.
As a disclaimer:: I love, love, love this little mini dress. The fit is right up my alley, and I adore the details & print. And I know I will get plenty of wear out of it. With that being said, it’s not lined. I just threw on a slip & don’t mind a bit. Because it is more of a splurge I wanted y’all to be aware if you’re interested in ordering.

Floral Mini Dress Take 2:
Y’all know I love to mix prints around here, and this floral makes it so easy to do so! I reached for my camo jacket for this combo, but you could easily go for a leopard jacket or a stripe cardigan instead! Because the floral has so many gorgeous colors in it, I kept the other print more neutral. The utility style of the jacket immediately makes the look more casual & the sneakers even more so. If you’re not into sneakers grab a pair of slip on mules.
This approach is my kind of weekday look. It is comfy, easy & I get to mix some prints while I am at it. I totally understand this might not be work appropriate for most, so save this combo for a weekend brunch date or some Saturday shopping!
How to Make the Most of your Closet this Fall:
- Think outside the box: I would normally look at this dress & think it needed to be reserved for more formal occasions. But because of the higher price tag, I wanted to get the most wear possible out of this dress to justify the purchase. Juxtaposition is one of my favorite elements to bring into an outfit. What would go against a feminine, floral dress? An easy, camo utility jacket of course!
- Mix those prints: This is a personal favorite of mine & can allow you to come up with so many different looks.
- Layer, layer, layer: In the first look, I wanted to keep it easy & simple, but to really make this dress versatile I knew I needed to add layers. I layered a casual jacket for the second look, but you could just as easily layer it with a dressier suede jacket for some texture. Or layer a cropped sweater on top to make the dress look like a skirt.

Oh my cuteness! This dress is absolutely stunning and you styled it so beautifully. I just can’t get enough of the print and the smocked waist and sleeves are so cute!
