Happy Tuesday y’all! I am back with another combo from Express. I have been loving so many pieces from there lately, and shared how to style white jeans for winter from Express last week. This combo is unexpected for me, I don’t gravitate towards dark neutrals, and used to swear off a black & navy color combo! I feel like a remember my mom specifically saying “oh black & navy don’t go together”. Black & brown color combos were also off limits back in the back. I’ve since ditched both fashion “rules”. Sorry mom! ha.

But I am obsessed with this combo, it’s simple & no fuss, which makes pairing navy & black together easy peasy. This skirt is beautiful. The movement is so good, and the color is great in person! If you’re not into pairing it with this black sweater, you can always go with cream, a pretty stripe, even a pop of pink. And who doesn’t need a great black basic sweater in their closet? This one is super soft & cozy!
