This year’s January Beauty Favorites includes mask friendly lip products, a facial in a bottle skin care item, my must have for dry skin & more!
Happy Thursday y’all! I am so excited to be back with a monthly beauty favorites. I haven’t shared one since September— sorry y’all! I think with the holidays, I got a little side tracked, but we’re back & I’m excited to make these a monthly thing around here. Regardless of masks & little on my social calendar, I still very much enjoy doing my makeup for the day. It makes me feel better & I find when I feel better I am more productive throughout the day! It’s kind of like the “dress well, test well” philosophy that I very much believed in during college & grad school!
January Beauty Favorites:
- Aquaphor Spray: Keeping my skin moisturized is a MUST for me, especially this time of year. While I want my skin to be moisturized at all times, sometimes putting on lotion is a pain! That’s where this product comes in. My love for Aquaphor runs deep, I’ve used their healing ointment since high school, and still use it every night before bed to this day, so it’s no surprise I love the spray version as well. It’s the only body moisturizer I’ve used this winter. It’s so easy to use, you just spray it on & rub it in & you’re good to go. It doesn’t take forever to rub in & it’s super easy to apply.
- Skin by Blair Tonic: I mentioned this in my AM skincare routine blog post, but it needs to be mentioned again! I have been using this nonstop since I got it at the beginning of December & it really does live up to the “facial in a bottle” hype. I am afraid I’m going to run out before she does a restock!
- Revision Intellishade Matte: I’ve reallyyyy been trying to wear SPF on the daily lately, and this product makes it so easy to do so. I reach for this on days when I plan on doing my makeup. I use this as a “foundation” & then continue on with my regular makeup routine!
- It Cosmetics Anti-Aging Armour: This is another SPF product that I love! I’ve gone through several bottles of over the years & love to use this if I’m not planning on wearing makeup. It subtly evens out your skin tone & gives your skin a little boost without too much coverage.
- Sisley Powder: This is such an over priced product & I hate to include it, but I always love my makeup so much more when I use a swipe of this at the end. It really does blur out your skin tone with the prettiest matte finish.
- Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray: This is the only setting spray I’ve been using since November & I really love it. It seems to meld all of my products together & helps my makeup last all day.
- Laura Mercier Ritual Bronzer: I am ride or die for my Hourglass bronzer, but this one is great for days when I just want to warm up my face a bit. The veining with the pink & lighter shades gives such a pretty flush to the cheeks.
- Laura Mercier Peach Blush: This might be my favorite blush of all time. It is just so beautiful. I prefer to wear it when I have a bit of color to my face, but I pulled it back out a few weeks ago & have used it nearly every day I’ve done my makeup since.
- Becca Under Eye Primer: My under eyes need all the help they can get, and this cooling eye primer is the first line of attack. I’ll use this on makeup & no makeup days to make me look more awake!
- Tom Ford Duo: This has been the only highlight I’ve been using since I scooped up this duo in Incandescent. Is it necessary? No, but I do really like it & think it looks beautiful on the cheeks! I’ve been popping the pink shade onto my cheek bones for a little pop.
- Lip Treatment by Hanalei: This amazon favorite was part of my January Amazon Haul & I’ve been wearing this daily when my lips are feeling dry. I have the rose shade & love the faint hint of pink it gives to my lips.
- Chanel Matte Lipstick: Another lip product I have been loving! This matte lipstick is so good because it dries down & won’t transfer to your mask & lasts all day! The gloss that comes with it is perfect to reapply throughout the day. I have the shade Merry Rose.
- It Cosmetics Pillow Lips: Ah! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. Wistful is my favorite of the bunch & they feel amazing on the lips.
- Rare Beauty Matte Lip Cream in Motivate: Okay so this one is a last minute addition because I just bought it last week, but omg this color is so fun & perfect to wear into spring & summer! It is the prettiest watermelon pink. I love the formula of this product too, it’s very comfortable on the lips & leaves stain all day!
