Happy Tuesday y’all! Summer is right around the corner & I am so excited that the smocked dress trend from spring is hanging around throughout the summer. This colorful maxi dress from J.Crew is one of my favorite ways to wear the trend this summer.
I cannot help it y’all, when I think of smocked dresses I immediately think of the monogrammed, holiday themed ones my mom dressed me in the majority of my childhood. LOL. Thankfully this trend has adapted into a more chic, adult friendly version & I am loving it!
There are so many ways to wear this trend, but I am loving this maxi version with tie spaghetti straps. Not to mention the colors are just so good for summer. The fabric on this dress is pretty light weight, & it isn’t lined. I don’t mind because I’ll just toss a slip underneath to wear it out & about. Because this dress is so lightweight, it would also be darling as a coverup! I always appreciate a dress that is versatile.
