I’ve been having fun playing with makeup this month & today’s August Beauty Favorites includes some new finds & old faithfuls.
Not every monthly beauty roundup is created equal y’all, I get in such routine when it comes to my makeup that I can get into a rut. I stumbled on some new finds recently that have revamped my makeup routine as of late. This month’s favorites roundup is a good one!
August Beauty Favorites:
- Intellishade Matte: This has made the cut when it comes to monthly favorites, but I was having trouble with this product piling up on my skin upon application. I pulled it back out because I really wanted the daily SPF, and finally figured out a solution. I have to let my skincare routine sink in for at least 5-10 minutes, and then by pounce the product into the skin with a damp beauty sponge. This is a great everyday product, it adapts to your skin tone, and gives your skin just enough coverage for everyday. If you don’t want a matte finish it also comes in their Original formula.
- Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter (Shade 4): This has been a staple in my makeup bag for years. I use it almost daily under any “foundation”. There is something about wanting a glow during the summer that has me obsessing over this product. I’ve even been using it on it’s own now when I’m not wearing any makeup & it just gives your skin the prettiest lit from within finish.
- Lancome Blush in Miel Glace: On repeat, obsessed. Such a good everyday blush color that just looks so pretty on the cheeks. It has a slight sheen to it, but I kind of love it. This color is a little hard to come by, but worth keeping your eye out for.
- Westman Atelier Contour Stick in Biscuit: I love this for a simple, no makeup look. I use this a bit more as a cream bronzer on an everyday basis, but I also love contouring with this for a full face look. It’s super easy to use & apply as well.
- Westman Atelier Cream Blush in Minette: Another great everyday product for those no makeup makeup looks. This color is so easy to apply, it’s almost foolproof.
- Sisley Powder: I have had this powder for a while now, but hadn’t been using it. I pulled it back out over the past few weeks & omg omg. It is stupid expensive, I hate to even recommend it because it’s so pricey, but it is worth every penny. It is the most perfect finishing powder I’ve ever used. It truly makes your skin look flawless. I like to sweep this powder over my makeup at the very end, right before setting spray, just to blend all the products together. It doesn’t necessarily mattify in my opinion, so don’t let that scare you. It honestly just perfects your makeup & skin, I don’t know how else to explain it.
- NARS Orgasm Palette: This is such a fun addition to my makeup bag. It has some beautiful highlight shades, & some really pretty blush toppers. I’ve even been using it as eyeshadows as well.
- Patrick Ta Eyeshadow Palette: I definitely didn’t need another eyeshadow palette, but the makeup lover in me couldn’t resist. This palette is all I’ve been using lately. You can create the prettiest eye looks for day or night & I love that they include two cream colors for eyeliner as well. I will say the glitter shades need a bit of help to stay put, but I find that using your finger tips or this eyeshadow primer does the trick.
- Lilah B. Tinted Lip Oil: This clean beauty product is so pretty. I love it for an everyday lip. It’s also super comfortable to wear!
