Lathering up my belly has become a major part of my beauty/skincare routine, & today I’m sharing my favorite pregnancy lotions to help prevent those dreaded stretch marks.
Stretch marks are a dreaded pregnancy side effect. I totally get that they’re mainly genetic, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to lather the bump up in all of the lotions & oils in the meantime. Call me vain, but Imma do my part & do what I can to help ease the development of stretch marks.
I created quite the skin care routine when it comes to the bump, and almost 29 weeks in (I mightttt be jinxing myself) it seems to be working! I lather up anything & everything with a few different products depending on whether it is morning or night. I’ve been loving this trio! I like to think of it as my stretch mark insurance policy 😂
My Favorite Pregnancy Lotions:
- Mama Mio Tummy Rub Butter: This is my go to lotion for the stomach & love handle area in the morning. The texture & formula almost feels like an oil, lotion blend. It blends in quickly & easily! The packaging is the only downside, I just hate a big tub of lotion, but that’s just me being picky.
- Bio Oil: I loveeee this product & will probably continue to use it after I have the little lady. I also use this in the am, but on the rest of my body– bum, chest, legs & arms! It soaks into the skin pretty quickly & I don’t find that it transfers to my clothes or anything! The price point on this is great too, under $20 & typically on prime. I go through about one a month because I use it all over, and even have it on monthly deliveries.
- Summer Fridays Baby Moon Belly Balm: This is my go to nighttime belly, back & bum product. When I am doing my night skincare routine, I’ll end it by applying this. This product is definitely the thickest formula. The balm like texture takes a while to sink in, which is why I save it for the night. I can always tell when I use this at night because my skin feels so soft in the am!
Do you have a favorite pregnancy lotion!?
