Happy Thursday y’all! This post has been in the making for weeks, but I kept remembering more favorites to add. It’s always so fun to look back on the year & reflect on my favorite things. I think I have finally put the finishing touches on this roundup & I’m excited to share it with y’all. 2021 was another unique year, finding out I was pregnant in March was such a surreal experience & shaped our year for sure. My 2021 favorites is full of pregnancy must haves, home projects & beauty favs– this roundup is a good one y’all!
2021 Favorites:
- Westman Atelier: this is not a new to me in 2021 brand, but I really started using my WA products regularly this past year. They’ve become some of my favorite products when I want a more natural look. Two stand out products from the brand that I use nearly every time I do my makeup, her contour stick (in biscuit) & the super loaded highlight (in peau de peche).
- Monogram Tote: best $20 summer buy of 2021. I carried the heck out of this during the warmer months! It’s the perfect beach/pool bag, and surprisingly holds a ton of items.
- Align Biker Shorts: I always was self conscious about wearing biker shorts but pregnancy had me saying screw it 😂 I lived in them over the summer when I was pregnant & just loved them!
- Becoming a mom: I would be remiss if I shared this roundup without mentioning our sweet Vaughn Kathryn. My little lady has to be my top 2021 fav 💕 She has changed our lived for the better & I cannot imagine our world without her in it. She’s taught me so much in just a few short months.
- Free People Maxi Dress: this dress has been one of my most worn pieces in 2021 & I just wore it again last weekend! It’s such an easy piece that works for a lot of different occasions. I wore the color “black” (pictured above) to a baby shower & wore the pink color for our newborn photos with Vaughn. I also love that it has worked for me through my 2nd trimester, 3rd trimester & postpartum. I got the size small during pregnancy & the xs for postpartum.
- Bathroom Wallpaper: This was such a fun project in 2021 & one of these days I’m going to do a full blogpost on our bathroom. Until then I’ll just have to keep sharing this picture. This wallpaper is loud, unique & colorful and I love it. It’s by Charlotte Gaisford, and is such a fun option for our downstairs bathroom.
- Susan Gordon Pottery: I got my hands on my first SGP bowl in 2020, but I started growing my collection this past year. I just love her wavy bowls so much. I have several smaller bowls throughout my house as decor: holding jewelry, little polaroids & more. I love that I can clean them & use them as serving pieces when entertaining.
- Revision Lip Replenisher: Y’all, this is such a game changer product for me. It is a little pricey for a lip balm, but it is hands down the best one I’ve tried. It is very thick, so I use it at night before bed & it’s always still on my lips when I wake up. It’s the only one I’ve tried that actually hydrates my lips. I mainly use it at night, but sometimes I’ll put a little on when I get ready. It’s also such a good product during the winter, dry months.
- Vaughn’s Nursery: Ah, this has to be my favorite home decor project of 2021. It is everything I want for her room: welcoming, colorful, warm & one she can grow into. Everytime I walk into it, it puts a smile on my face. We’re still waiting on a few things, thanks a lot supply chain, but once it’s complete I can’t wait to share more.
- Lululemon Fanny pack: I love this little belt bag y’all! It’s been one of my most useful buys of 2021. It’s perfect for running errands, but I found myself using it the most when we would take walks around the neighborhood. It’s under $40 & comes in a bunch of colors! I have a feeling I’ll be using it even more in 2022 when running around with V.
- Scottsdale: Our travel has been limited since 2020, and with me being pregnant, 2021 wasn’t a huge travel year for us. We did get the chance to take a baby moon in September, & ventured to Scottsdale, AZ, for part of it. It was the most magical trip. It exceeded all my expectations & was such a beautiful city. I won’t spend too much time talking about it in this post , but you can read more about our stay here!
- Lele Sadoughi Headbands: I jumped on the Lele bandwagon a few years ago. It took me a while to pull the trigger, because $150+ for a headband was a hard pill to swallow. Let me just say they’re worth every penny, they’re so comfy & I can wear them all the live long day & they don’t hurt my head. I have reached for my Lele headbands so much this past year to elevate the simplest outfits, extend my hair between washes & just add a little somethin’ somethin’ to my outfits.
Shop some of my favorite headbands:
- Louis Vuitton backpack: This was a treat to myself after a closet sale in May, & I’ve carried it nearly every day of the week since it seems like. It’s been such a great carry all bag & I love that it’s hands free. I plan on using it as a diaper bag when we take Vaughn out & about too.
- Soma Cool Nights Sleep Shirts: 2021 was the year of sleepshirts for me. Being pregnant & getting up to pee 10xs a night, sleepshirts are your friend. LOL. Soma’s Cool Nights line were hands down my favorite! They fabric is so good, and I was able to wear them throughout my entire pregnancy.
