How do such little humans need so much crap when traveling?! LOL. After some trial & error I’ve narrowed down my baby must haves for the beach, pool & summer travel.
We officially have a few trips under our belt & most happen to be trips to the beach with the little lady! It’s been so fun to watch her explore & experience new adventures, albeit sometimes stressful because we have no clue what we’re doing as first time parents! LOL. But we’re learning as we go! I shared a post about our first trip with Vaughn a few months ago, but now that the temps are really starting to ramp up our necessities change & grow.
After our latest beach trip with the little lady we have a handful of items we won’t be without when traveling to the beach or pool this summer!
Baby Must Haves for the Beach, Pool & Summer Travel:
- Kid Co Tent: My MIL actually scored this at Homegoods & it was such a good find! This was such a great shaded spot to put her when we were at the pool & the beach. It’s under 3 ft, which was a requirement for tents on the beach where we set up. It is a breeze to put up & take down, it fits into a carrier the size of like a tailgate chair bag & the sides can be unzipped to allow a breeze through. She napped, played & hung out in this little thing so much during our trip. Don’t have a beach trip planned? It would be perfect to take to the park as well!
- Mambo Baby Float: This little float is amazing. It has a crotch strap & 5 point support, it has anti flip technology & a non-flatable design so you don’t have to worry about air coming out of the float. I felt like she was totally safe in this float! They can use it on their stomach or back & the shade offers SPF protection.
- Ergo Baby Stroller: I talked about this stroller in this post & after using it on a few trips I can’t recommend it enough. It is a great travel stroller! It folds up to the size of a briefcase which is a huge bonus.
- This Wide Brim Hat: Not all baby hats are created equal y’all. I bought a bunch of random ones, and the brim of allll of them would fall right in her face. My MIL got her this hat for Easter & it is the BEST sun hat. The brim does not fall in her face & its also made with UPF 50+ sun protected fabric.
- UPF bathing suits: These are a must! I just feel so much better taking her out in the sun when she has a rash guard on with UPF in it. Ruffle Butts makes some of our favs.
- Portable Fan: Our girl runs hot, so keeping her cool in the summer is so important! These little fans are so great! The charge lasts a pretty long time & they wrap around nearly anything.
- Blue Lizard Sunscreen: This has been my sunscreen of choice for her. It a mineral sunscreen, water resistant & fragrance free. It was recommended by her pediatrician too.
Is there anything missing from this list I need to get before our next trip?!
