Makeup application is key when it comes to getting a beautiful makeup look! Today I’m sharing my favorite makeup brushes to achieve my go to makeup looks. I’ve had most of these brushes for years, and they have held up so well!
My Favorite Makeup Brushes:
Real Techniques Brush Set: This is going to give you the best bang for your buck! This set of 5 is amazing! You can use the big one for powder, bronzer or blush. I’d use the face brush for cream bronzer, the smaller setting brush is amazing for highlight or setting your undereyes. The deluxe crease brush is the hero brush in this set. It is such a good brush for eyeshadow & my favorite of the bunch! I love using it with cream & powder eyeshadows. I go to town buffing eye products into the lid & it gives such a diffused complete look to the eye. The beauty sponge is a favorite for me, and the only one I really use nowadays. I like using it for my liquid foundations.
Bronzer Brush: I have had this brush for years & it is still my favorite brush to apply my bronzer with. It is going to give you more of a diffused bronze look because of the fluffier bristles. If you’re looking for a more precise bronzer application then you might not like this one, but it would also be great for setting the face with powder too.
Blush Brush: Another tried & true makeup brush in my collection. I love using this for my blush application. Again, its not going to give you a super precise application, but I love a more subtle application for powder products.
Stipple Brush: OBSESSED with this $7 makeup brush. It is SO good for cream products. I use then when I apply cream blush & highlighter, and it is so easy to use. It kinda makes application fool proof which I so appreciate!
Flat Top Buffing Brush: My go to brush for cream bronzer. I like a more dense brush when it comes to cream bronzer, and this one is so good! It is marketed as a foundation brush, but I only reach for it when I use it with foundations like the Merit stick or Westman Atelier foundation.
Tarte Airbrush Finish Brush: I’ve had this for years, but hadn’t been using it until recently. I picked it back up for a quick blend of my Merit stick & it is amazing. It really does give an airbrushed finish. I think it could also work for cream bronzer too.
Concealer Brush: I used to be a beauty sponge for undereye concealer, but I have been loving using this brush instead. It gives a more concentrated application, and I find I don’t need to use as much product to get a full coverage application.
Eyeliner Brush: I love using eyeshadow as eyeliner, and this brush makes it so easy to do so. I’ll just dunk this brush into a dark shade & swipe it over my lash line. It gives a more more subtle liner look which I prefer.
Blending Brush: I don’t use many eyeshadow brushes, but I love keeping this on hand to buff a color into my crease or to help blend out any patchy areas.
Powder Puffs: These are a new to me discover & a game changer!! They are amazing to set undereye concealer & set finishing powder into my t zone.
