Happy 2023 y’all! I’m not one of those who is much into resolutions or one who hits the ground running in the new year. However, I am really excited for a new year. It does feel like a fresh start & I’m excited to share another year of content with y’all on G&G! I was doing a bit of cleaning out my vanity & thought I would share my top beauty favorites of 2022. These are only products that I bought/discovered in 2022. I loved some tried & trues, like my eyes to mesmerize & westman highlight, but I am sticking to new finds for this roundup.
2022 Beauty Favorites:
- Osea Body Oil: When I tell y’all that dry skin is one of my biggest pet peeves. I want my skin oiled up, looking like dolphin. This body oil is getting me closer to that goal. I love love love it. It has been my favorite body product of 2022.
- Rare Beauty Liner in Worthy: The only lip liner I have been wearing. It is the perfect shade for everyday for me! It works well under so many different products & gives my lips just enough definition.
- Merit Concealer & Foundation Stick: My love for this product has been a slow burn. I so wasn’t into it at first, but I adore this complexion product for everyday/lighter makeup days. My tip for using this is to use it sparingly, don’t over do it. Just apply to the areas that need some coverage. I have the shade bisque. See how I apply it in this reels.
- Chantecaille Sunbeam Cheek & Eye: I am embarrassed at the price of this, but it is so good. It’s the easiest eye product to use. I buff this shade onto the lid & into the crease at least 3 days a week. It gives you a complete eye look with one product & is so easy! I don’t use it as much on my cheeks but maybe I need to start soon.
- Replenix Tinted Brightening Eye Cream: This product is a work horse. It covers those dark circles & gives my undereye the perfect amount of coverage for those lighter/no makeup days. I’ll also use it under an undereye concealer to color correct on fuller coverage days too. It also has eye cream properties to refresh & illuminate the under eye.
- Kosas Lip Oil in Unhooked: My fav everyday lip product with my Rare beauty liner. These feel so good on, don’t dry my lips out & is such a great gloss.
- Chantecaille Blur Finishing Powder: This is an everyday product for me in one way or another. Depending on my makeup look I’ll either use it to set my face (on lighter days), or use it as a finishing touch, sweep of powder on a fuller face.
- Makeup by Mario Blush: I have always have a love affair with blush, I have plenty in my collection but these stand out because they really are long wearing. They blend beautifully & the colors are perfectly pigmented.
- Bare Minerals Blonzers: These are SO unique. They really are a blush bronzer hybrid & warm up the cheeks in such a pretty way! I LOVED these for summertime, I don’t reach for them as much during winter, but my excessive use of them this summer keeps them in the top beauty favs of 2022.
- Makeup by Mario Transforming Skin Perfector: This is also an everyday product for me. It isn’t pigmented enough to take place of my bronzer, but it is one of my favorite finishing products. I’ll sweep this over the face (where bronzer is), and it does give the skin such a pretty finish.
- Real Techniques Eyeshadow Brush (I can only find it in this trio): A MUST have my my everyday eyeshadow looks! This is such a great, affordable makeup brush. I’ll put this in powder or cream products, buff into the lid & it gives such a complete look to the lid. My fav brush to use for eyes to mesmerize.
- Kosas Brow Gel: The only brow gel I need in my life. It fills, lifts & sets! The shade Soft Brown looks so natural on me. I have repurchased this several times already!
