It has been far too long since I’ve done a beauty favorite roundup, so today is a big one! My May Beauty Favorites are some of my favorite products I’ve tried this year & I can’t wait to share them with y’all.
May Beauty Favorites:
- Murad Sunscreen: I know I’m supposed to wear face sunscreen everyday, but I’ll admit that I don’t. I hate the feeling of it under makeup, I hate the scent & found that all broke me out after wearing for days on end. This sunscreen totally changed that for me! It is a game changer. It doesn’t smell like your typical sunscreen, it wears so well under makeup & doesn’t break me out. Check, check, check!!
- Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm: I am always looking for products to give my skin a blur like finish & I love starting my makeup routine with this one. I will pat a little bit onto my cheeks & take the remainder & pat onto the rest of my face.
- Danessa Myricks Blush in Bellini: This cream blush is incredible. It has staying power & pigmentation like no other I’ve tried. It blends like a dream & seriously lasts all day. It also plays well with others, it doesn’t pick up my foundation upon application. I just can’t say enough good things about this product! I am dying to try new colors.
- Iconic London Roll On Highlight in Peach Paradise: I have always been a fan of the Iconic London highlights & this one is my newest obsession. The color is so beautiful & looks so pretty with the bellini blush.
- Givenchy Powder in #3: I was heavily influenced to buy this powder, & honestly wasn’t that impressed. I would reach for it from time to time, but it wasn’t until recently I felt like I was lovingggg it. I love it to set my undereye concealer (specifically this one) & use this little puff to apply the powder. It gives the prettiest & brightest finish.
- Give Beauty in Topknot & Midriff: I love adding a touch of sparkle to my lids, and these are my current go to! The colors are so pretty & accentuate so many different eye looks. I feel like I reach for topknot a bit more, but they’re both stunning & last all day.
- Dior Palette in 001: I love this palette y’all. I feel like I have talked about it a lot lately, but that’s just because I use it almost daily. I loveeee taking the 3 lighter shades over the high points of my cheek, I’ll just blend all 3 colors together with a small fluffy brush. & then I have been loving buffing in the darkest shade onto my lids for a quick eye look. I feel like using this palette in a few different ways justifies the price a bit more too.
- Dior Blush in Coral: This blush is everything! I bought the pink one a few years ago, and honestly never reach for it. I swatched this shade during the latest sephora sale & was so impressed with the color payoff. I love using this over top of the cream blush in bellini for a cheek color that is literally going to last ALL day.
- Hourglass Blush in Sublime Flush: This is the prettiest blush for a simple makeup look. I always feel like it makes me look more awake! It blends beautifully onto the cheeks & you can build up the coverage for a more pigmented cheek.
- Huda Beauty Concealer: This is a new to me concealer, but I have been loving it!! It covers, brightens & works SO well with this givenchy powder. I have the shade ‘coconut flakes’.
- NARS Laguna Palette: This is my newest beauty buy, but I can already tell that I am going to reach for it all the time over summer. If you want one eye product for summer & you like a bronze eye, it should be this. The pigment is amazing & you can get simple to night out type looks with it.
- Colleen Rothschild Illuminating Eye Cream: A new holy grail I don’t ever want to live without. It is a must when I am going in with a concealer. I don’t replace my eye cream with this, but it is an amazing complimentary product to apply before concealer for added brightness & smoothness. Highly, highly recommend!
- Becca Highlight in Champagne Pop: Okay I don’t know why I ever stopped using this?! It was insanely popular back in the day, and for good reason. It truly is the prettiest true “champagne” highlight. I found an old sample of it in my makeup collection & pulled it out one day to use. Immediately I fell back in love & went to Ulta to purchase a full size of it.
- Benefit Setting Spray: This is such a great finishing spray! I don’t know that I think it helps with the longevity of my makeup necessarily, but it does blur out the pores which we love!
- Give Beauty Lip Gloss in Dolled Up: Such a pretty pink gloss that I find I can wear all on it’s own. Sometimes I don’t want to fuss with liner & lipstick, so I reach for this & I am always pleased with the color of my lips. It’s a little sticky, but nothing crazy.
- Refy Lip Sculpt in Blush: This is such a great “my lips but better” type product! I was a little unsure about the “setter” that comes with it, but it really does give your lips the prettiest sculpt & it lasts a really long time!
- Tarte in White Peach: Obsessed! Another favorite simple lip look that I just cannot get enough of. This is the prettiest peach shade! It is on the lighter side, so I do prefer lining my lips prior to using, but it works just as well without.
- MAC Lipglass in Nyphette: I haven’t bought anything MAC in ages, but I was in Ulta the other day & they were setting up a brand new display that caught my eye. I love a gloss that has a shimmer to it & this one is so pretty!
